Global Cities Inc, (GCI) is an African American inspired Urban Trading Bloc  that was established more than 17 years ago, by connecting 15 major U.S. cities with large African American communities. The 15 original cities included: Baltimore MD., Washington , DC., New 0rleans., LA., New York , NY., Los Angles CA., San Diego , CA , Indianapolis , IN , Seattle , WA Dallas , TX , Philadelphia , PA. , Milwaukee , WI., Chicago , IL., Nashville , TN., St Louis , MO. , Houston , TX., Atlanta , GA. , Miami , FL., Cleveland , OH., and Detroit, MI.. Settle WA, was added in 2001.

In 1990, when GCI was first established there was no infrastructure that ordinary people could use to conduct business and trade between cities. These cities are being connected by a recently completed business & trade infrastructure for both foreign and domestic cities. In the early 90’s the African American Community purchasing power was less than $350 billion dollars. Today, however, it’s more than $850 billion dollars, according to the Selig Center, a Georgia based forecasting firm. These 16 major U.S. Cities currently serve as the HUB for attracting other foreign and domestic cities. GCI is the only major business and trade system in t he Industrialized West, that  allows manufacturers and other small business owners to reach large business and consumer markets in developing countries.

The World Bank conducted a study in 1994 and found that the world’s largest cities are adding 1 million people weekly. The urban population is growing by 3.8 percent a year and in 2006 they reached 3.3 billion people. This makes the GCI Market Span larger than the population in both India and China combined. The United Nations Population Agency report, stated that by 2030 people in urban cities will reach 5 billion. The GCI developing nation connection will enhance any business that wants to establish early roots in the worlds largest consumer and business markets, where within ten years, four out of five consumers will reside.
